KRAUSE bio
a kid from Nowheresville, Minnesota, uprooted at the age of 5 and transported to the concrete streets of Chicago's near west side. From the endless acres of his parents' dairy farm to his grandmother's cellular two-bedroom apartment. A relocation and transformation that clearly and deeply rattled his brain at such a very young age.
the persona of that twisted kid... who began writing at the age of 14, coinciding with the death of his dad. Over the years he memorialized his thoughts and visions and dreams, as well as his fears, nightmares and faults... His thoughts, music and visions begin here.
a darkly passionate, frightfully twisted indie style rock that's uniquely hypnotic and often layered with tribal tones and uncommon melodies.

a proud product of the Chicago public school system and the University of Illinois - Chicago... study nothing but accounting, finance and math, math, and math (wanted to be an engineer, but on the first day of meeting the counselor he decided that engineering sounded too boring so he decided to be a CPA... wow... not THAT'S got excitement written ALL OVER IT!!!...) and whatever other courses and filler were required...
musical influences... Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin (greatest rock band ever), The The (lyrically incredible), The Jam, ELP, The Airborne Toxic Event ("Sometime Around Midnight... amazing song with an uncommon structure... beautiful).

Lyrics, vocals, BGVs, percussion, electronics
LEONARD bio
a kid from Oaklawn, Illinois, growing up in a single parent family who developed a love for music at an early age, and molded that passion into an incredible talent for playing guitar, bass, mandolin, keys and percussion. Focusing his energies and honing his talents he developed incredible skills in music composition, engineering, and song arrangement.
as a talented composer with a very broad spectrum of musical interests his passion for the obscure provides an underlying basis for creating some very unique and interesting original works.

audio engineering degree from Tribeca Flashpoint Academy, Chicago, IL and studied music theory, composition and brownie baking at Fort Lewis College, Durango, CO.

holds a deep philosophical belief that music is therapeutical in so many different ways... expression of the thoughts inside, the feelings held close, the emotions that are hidden within and only released as the finger muscles twitch and move faster than the brain itself can function... (but maybe that's cause he eats a lot of brownies...) The creative fulfillment of putting pen to paper and fingers to strings led him to build his life around music in nearly every possible way. The facts that it's fun, invigorating, challenging, and thought provoking all just add to the passion and reverence that he holds for his craft.

believing and feeling and knowing that music can make you move involuntarily (most often when people hear krause's vocals and then just run from the room), conjure up imagery in your mind, give you chills, bring the heat and make statements about life, society, and the world at large... or maybe even nothing more than a simple, slow walk in a summer rain... a truly spiritual experience...

musical influences - Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Tool (gotta love Maynard!), Minus The Bear (which is weird since he's been known to remove his shoes to count to ten), J.S. Bach, (i.e., greatest composer of ALL TIME) and Stevie Ray Vaughn (who died way too young in a helicopter crash in Troy, WI, at the sad age of 35.... but that crisp, clean, dry guitar sound will live FOREVER).

Music composition, guitars, bass, mandolin, ukulele, percussion, keys, witty literal references that krause can't often comprehend, electronics...

"The aim and final end of all music should be none other that the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul." ~ J.S. Bach
